Private sector landlords provide much needed housing for local residents and the private rented sector is growing. It is important that all landlords are aware of their responsibilities towards their tenants and the property standards that are required. It is also useful to landlords to be able to keep updated on relevant issues around letting properties, any changes in requirements or responsibilities and any offers or incentives that may be available. The Council wants to be able to provide information to landlords in a way that is accessible to them and to include information that they consider useful.
Why we are consulting
We have lots of information available to help you carry out your duties as private landlords of the Epping Forest District and to keep you updated on relevant issues as they arise. We would appreciate it if you could complete this simple questionnaire to help us ensure we are providing information you find useful, in ways that are accessible to you. It will be particularly useful to have landlord email addresses as this will be a simple and quick way to share information.
What happens next
We will analyse all the responses from the questionnaire so we can determine what types of information is of most interest to landlords and how best to communicate with you. We will then endeavour to put these in place and will notify you ideally by email in the first instance.
