We have a range of workshops available that can be delivered at your school as well as loan boxes containing historically themed artefacts and covering a wide range of curriculum based history topics.
Our workshops give pupils the chance to work hands on with historical objects and engage in practical activities to learn about life in the past. Our loan boxes contain a range of objects on a historical theme, with supporting notes to extend study of a subject and develop pupils’ historical skills.
As part of the museum’s redevelopment project we have created much better facilities for school groups to visit the museum itself including more displays and an education room.
For more information or to make a booking, contact the Education Officer on
Telephone: 01992 564994 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Boxes cost £40.00 per half term for schools within Epping Forest and Broxbourne Borough and £50.00 per half term for schools outside these areas. If a box is booked and delivered with a workshop, a £10 discount is applied.
Loan boxes are available to hire for half a term at a time. They are delivered to and collected from your school, provided you are within a 20 mile radius of the museum.
The local history website for schools, www.efdhistory.org.uk contains resources from the museum’s collection for use in schools, and online learning resources.
