Covid-19 Day of Reflection

Covid-19 Day of Reflection

Community news, News

The COVID-19 Day of Reflection will take place on 9 March, following recommendations set out by the UK Commission on COVID-19 Commemoration.

As a mark of respect, the Civic Offices in Epping will be lit in blue on Sunday evening.

As the UK marks the 5th anniversary of the pandemic, people are invited to come together to remember and reflect on this period of our history as well as their own experiences.

Remember and honour

This day serves as an opportunity for the us to remember and honour those who lost their lives during the pandemic, to reflect on the sacrifices made and to recognise the impact it has on our daily lives. It is also a time to pay tribute to the work and dedication of health and social care staff, frontline workers, researchers and all the volunteers who demonstrated kindness during this unprecedented time.

Chairman of Council, Cllr Les Burrows
