Epping Forest District Council will be flying the Commonwealth flag to commemorate Commonwealth Day 2024, on Monday 10 March.

Commonwealth Day is an annual celebration observed by people in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Americas, the Pacific and Europe.

One Resilient Common Future

Chairman of Epping Forest District Council, Councillor Les Burrows said:

This day gives us the opportunity to celebrate the friendship, spirit of unity and achievements of the Commonwealth family.

The theme for this year is ‘Together We Thrive’. It highlights the importance of fostering strong connections within communities that support and empower members, enabling meaningful progress.

Epping Forest District Council is proud to fly the Commonwealth Flag on Monday 10 March to reflect the deep-rooted networks of friendship and goodwill that connect all the Commonwealth Countries around the globe.
