Funding secured for Community Carers project

Community news, News

Buckhurst Hill Parish Council, Loughton and Epping Town Councils and Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) have secured funding from Essex County Council to create The Dementia Friendly Community Carers project.

Providing support and information

Managed by EFDC’s Dementia Action Officer and the Chair of the Epping Forest Dementia Friendly Community group, the project aims to provide support and information to residents who are caring for loved ones with dementia across the district.

The project will run until April 2025, with weekly groups being held in various locations throughout the district. These groups will provide carers with valuable information, advice, and time away from their caregiving responsibilities in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.

The first 4 week programme will be held in Buckhurst Hill.

  • Venue: Roding Valley Hall, Buckhurst Hill, IG9 6LN
  • Date: Every Wednesday between 24 July 2024 to 14 August 2024
  • Time: 10am to 12pm
