An Outline Planning Application (EPF/1793/24) has been submitted for the proposed Latton Priory development, and consultation on the plans is now open.

The site is part of the Harlow and Gilston Garden Town project and details and a full description of the development can be found on the planning application:

Up to 1,340 homes

The proposal is for up to 1,340 homes, residential care and supported accommodation, a mixed-use local centre, primary and secondary schools, greenspaces including playing fields and new highway, cycle and pedestrian routes.

The plans have been submitted by Commercial Estates Projects Ltd and Hallam Land and as the site falls within the Epping Forest District will be considered by the Council’s planning committee. The consultation period closes on the 11 October 2024.

Latton Priory, north of Rye Hill Road, is one of the masterplan sites that is part of the Harlow and Gilston Garden Town, a partnership of five local authorities delivering homes and infrastructure to garden town principles.
