Community spirit

This club has helped to reduce the anti-social behaviour on the Limes Farm estate, in Chigwell. It enables participants to keep active, meet new friends and learn vital skills like teamwork and communication.

It is not just the young members of the community who are benefiting from the club. One volunteer is, with the help of Mr Eagleton, working towards becoming a FA Level 1 qualified coach.

If you are interested in becoming a coach for the club, contact John Eagleton:

Thank you

EFDC Chairman, Councillor Darshan Sunger said:

I’m so delighted to see this club growing. I know the journey so far hasn’t been the easiest. I hope these special awards will act as encouragement for the club to keep up the great work it is doing.

I would like to say a big thank you to the Grange Farm Trust, the High Sheriff of Essex, and the Epping Forest Community Safety Partnership for their continued support to the club, without which, the club would struggle to continue.

I would also like to thank John Eagleton and the Colebrook Royals FC who have both been a pivotal part in the Colts’ success.

Heart of its community

Councillor Smruti Patel, Cabinet Member for Community, Health and Wellbeing said:

I’d like to echo what our Chairman has said and thank everyone involved with this project. This club has become the heart of its community. The support it has from the Limes Farm Community Group is wonderful.

Staying active is so important for our physical and mental health. Clubs and teams like the Limes Farm Colts help friendships to bloom, build self-confidence and improve fitness.
