Epping Forest District Council declared a climate emergency in September 2019 and made a commitment to do everything within its power to become a carbon neutral district by 2030.
EFDC will set the agenda for sustainable living, making it is easy for residents to adopt sustainable lifestyles. This means the choices offered across all aspects of living, work, and play are sustainable.
To help meet this ambition, a suite of documents have been prepared to provide practical and technical guidance on how relevant sustainability indicators and policies in the Epping Forest District Local Plan will be applied to new development in the district.
