Medical waste

Medical waste is also known as non-hazardous waste, it includes:

• Incontinence pads
• Catheter bags
• Non-infectious dressings

These can be disposed of in your black bin.

If you are finding your current collections are not coping with the amount of medical waste you are producing print the attached form, complete it and take it to your healthcare professional to verify the information and return it to the Civic Offices.

We may be able to increase your bin’s capacity. Processing applications can take up to 2 weeks and we will inform you of the outcome.
