North Essex Economic Board has launched their Young Entrepreneur Programme designed to support the next generation of business leaders.
Aspiring young entrepreneurs
The programme offers aspiring young entrepreneurs, aged 13-30, the tools, knowledge and exposure they need to turn their business ideas into reality. Whether they’re just starting out or looking to grow a business, this programme is here to help every step of the way.
The Young Entrepreneur Programme includes:
Earniversity
A 6-week fast track programme for 13–18 year-olds to learn vital business skills. Earniversity will deliver live and interactive coaching twice a week starting from 4 March to 10 April every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 7pm.
The course will cover:
- Content creation
- Reselling
- In-person services
- Freelancing
- Affiliate marketing
It will also help to develop skills such as:
- Public speaking
- Success mindset
- Employability
- Confidence
- Personal branding

Rebel+ Business School
In partnership with Rebel Business School, North Essex Economic Board (NEEB) is offering free access to Rebel+, an all-in-one platform for creative business training. If you are aged 16 to 30, you can access free guidance, on-demand workshops and practical support to help you on your journey towards entrepreneurship.
The programme covers:
- How to start a business for free
- Sales and marketing strategies
- Building a website with no budget
- Finding customers on social media
- Legal essentials for start-ups
- Mastering pitching and persuasion
- Boosting productivity and networking
- SEO fundamentals
- Negotiation skills
- Staying motivated and overcoming challenges

Support for young market traders
Aspiring entrepreneurs aged 16 to 30 will have the opportunity to test their products and services in real market conditions, gaining valuable exposure and insights by showcasing their ideas to local communities.
NEEB is offering:
- 20 free NMTF annual memberships – The NMTF is a national trade association for market and street traders, events retailers and mobile caterers providing insurance and support for market traders
- Funded workshops on how to be successful trading at markets
- 25 £200 grant to get started

Celebrating young entrepreneur’s event
Join the NEEB at Braintree Plaza on Wednesday 21 May 2025 10am to 1pm for their young entrepreneur’s event.
Get the chance to network with fellow entrepreneurs and local business professionals. You will also get the chance to gain insights from industry leaders whilst having the opportunity to share and learn from others on the same journey as you.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow, this event is the perfect opportunity to make valuable connections, find fresh inspiration, and get practical advice.
